Tasting Notes
This American style Barley Wine, brewed with our good friends at VAUX brewery, is full of caramelised toffee notes, whirlpooled and dry hopped with a big ol’ US hop bill of Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade and Columbus and a complex malty backbone. Big, boozy and bitter with a warmth that takes those winter blues away.

Tasting Notes
We hosted our new friends Tartarus Brewing earlier in the year and decided to brew up a big, boozy and beautiful Belgian golden strong. Brewed traditionally using a simple malt bill of all german lager malt, hopped lightly with Tettnang and Herkules hops and fermented warm with Belgian yeast for maximum fruity and spicy esters. It pours a bright straw colour with a large foamy head, aromas of sweet pear and tangerine dominant along with hints of bubblegum and peppery spice. At 9.9% it has a surprisingly smooth, light and crisp body with just a hint of booziness.

Tasting Notes
We often brew big pastry stouts with lots of flashy extras, but every now and then our brewer just needs to brew something simple, classic and delicious with no frills. Brown Paper Bag is a classic Oatmeal Stout with just malt, oats, hops, yeast, and water. Lots of oats were added during the mash to help lend a silky smooth texture and copious amounts of dark and roasted malts for all those deep, dark notes. Fermented with English ale yeast this stout exudes lovely chocolate, malt, and fresh roasted coffee aromas and flavours. In fact it’s a bit like drinking an iced coffee but without getting the caffeine crash afterwards. The buzz you get drinking this lusciously smooth stout just lingers on and on.

A chill is in the air which means its time to get out your Ugg boots and crack open a can of our annual collab with brewing pals Brew York. For this imperial pumpkin spice latte stout we went extra and dosed it with 5 different spices and then conditioned on cold brew and whole bean single origin coffee from our local roaster Fika Coffee. A complex malt bill and plenty of lactose make for a rich and boozy stout that will help keep you warm this Halloween. Expect sweet and luscious chocolate, vanilla, and java flavours all followed with warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger with a subtle earthy pumpkin finish.

it’s summertime and that means it’s sour time! We’ve brewed up a lovely summer treat that’s packed full of over 350kgs of mango and pineapple purée! We’ve also added lactose for a delicious milky sweetness to balance out the tartness provided by souring with a lactobacillus culture. The result is sweet, sour, tropical juicy-vanilla goodness in a can. Refreshing and rich all at the same time. We’re continuing to try new ideas and so we hope you all love our latest sour!

Our Senior Brewer, Alex, hails from America where the IPAs are bitter and the ABVs are high! Left on Read is a throwback to the kind of DIPAs Alex brewed back in the States before the “haze craze” took over. This Imperial West Coast IPA is big and bitter but smooth enough to hide its 8.2%abv. Showcasing classic American hops like Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe and with a bit of Ekuanot to add some modern, fruity hop notes. Sweet malty, caramel flavours quickly give way to a huge hit of herbaceous citrus and piney resin, followed by that old school crisp bitterness we love. All fermented with a clean, California yeast to maximize hop flavour and aroma. Show some love for the kind of IPA that started it all. It’s messaging you, don’t leave it on read!
